Yacov Gabay born in Kibbutz Yagur, Israel.
1964
Received scholarship from Helena Rubinstein Fund and travelled to Paris, France. Accepted by Academie des Beaux Arts and joined Chapelain-Midy Roger Atelier.
1970
Returned to Israel and has since given one-man shows in Tel-Aviv, Jerusalem , and Haifa. Also took part in group exhibition on various subjects such as landscape, nature, still life, portraiture and interior.
Yacov Gbay works in a variety of techniques, but chiefly oil painting. Member of the Israel Association of Painters and Sculptors. Appears in Israel Art magazine and journal. Also appears in Art books that published in Israel from time to time.

ARTIST STATEMENTS
My painting style is realistic in essence. I paint this way because I love the world as it appears with its infinite shapes, color and substance. My paintings are representations of both esthetic and spiritual experiences.
